Beautiful, 2-owner GTS Coupe with only 3,500 original miles!� One

Wheels!� Choices were few in the high-performance rear-drive
two-seat sports car class in the early nineties, but Dodge answered
the cries from the public with an 8.0-liter V10 engine powered
monster. America's biggest and most powerful production engine to
date, it delivered almost 400 horsepower and only came mated to a
6-speed manual gearbox. Exposed exhaust pipes ran along the rocker
panels, adding to the Viper's no-holds-barred appearance. Body
panels were made of fiberglass-like composite materials, bonded and
bolted to a tubular steel frame. Antilock braking and a driver-side
airbag were unavailable. Red was the only available body color at
first, and Vipers did not even have exterior door handles or
roll-up windows. Standard equipment included an FM/AM stereo with
cassette player and leather upholstery. Vipers filled the needs of
many, and left the sports car community in awe, as they had seen
nothing like it since Shelby's 427SC Cobras of the 1960's. A new
version would be introduced in 1996 as the GTS Coupe. A gorgeous
shape with a more powerful 450hp V10 engine under the hood, only
1,166 lucky buyers would have the chance to own one. Being a coupe,
air conditioning became standard, as did power windows & locks for
the first time. Safety measures also added airbags for both
occupants. Finished in the factory original Viper GTS Blue Pearl
exterior with Stone White stripes, and complimenting Black Leather
interior, this Viper comes to use with just 3,580 actual miles on
the odometer! Well equipped with the powerful 8.0L V10 engine
6-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, Alpine AM/FM/CD
stereo, power windows, power locks with keyless entry, original
spare tire, fog lamps, tilt column, racing style fuel cap,
intermittent wipers, and upgraded custom fit 19" HRE Performance
Wheels wrapped in Nitto tires measuring 275/30ZR19 up front and
335/30ZR19 at the rear! Included with this special GTS coupe will
be the original owner's manuals never removed from the plastic, and
the factory set of 17" wheels & tires. An instant classic, many
early Vipers found themselves in the hands of inexperienced
performance car drivers, and most saw an unfortunate early demise
(they hit a lot of stationary objects), mixed with the low
production numbers each year, it makes the originals very
collectable. To add to the rarity of this masterpiece, the Chrysler
Corporation has announced that the Viper will no longer be produced
after the 2017 model year. Having been cared for by only two
previous adult owners, the first keeping it for 20 years before
parting ways with it just last year, and never having seen
modification or butchery, this is a rare and refreshing find. A
fantastic driving car with no hidden issues, ready for road trips
or just park it as an investment piece.
