You could say this is like getting two Volkswagen Beetles for the
price of one! MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this
1966 Volkswagen Beetle Ragtop. Dressed in a beige and light green
two-tone, the paint and trim are in overall excellent condition,
including the rain visors over the doors. This bug's windows are
intact and clear, while the Hella headlights and other vehicle
lights are in overall very good condition. This bug rolls on
165/80R15 tires, with silver VW moon wheel covers, both of which
are in great condition. This bug's body panels are straight and
solid. The tan fold-back roof and the car's bumpers are also in
very good condition. Under the hood is a 1776cc Big Bore flat
four-cylinder engine from the Buggy Shop. This engine was
blueprinted fewer than 1,000 miles ago and features the following
parts - a rebuilt 34 PICT-3 carburetor, dual port heads, a
performance camshaft, electric fuel pump, remote oil filter,
external oil cooler, full-flow oil pump heater/blower motor and a
12-volt alternator. It also has a Highway Flyer four-speed
transaxle and the following new parts - 135mm clutch and pressure
plate, wheel bearings, shock absorbers, brake shoes, wheel
cylinders and wiring harness. Inside, the green and tan interior
has been completely reconditioned. The front bucket seats are in
very good order, as is the tan carpeting and the Bug's headliner.
The cream-colored metal instrument panel looks great, as do its VDO
gauges and the original, two-spoke steering wheel. The green inner
door panels with map pockets are also in very good order. The
mirror glass and shift lever look good. Finishing the interior is a
Kenwood AM/FM stereo with CD player, remote control and two
speakers located in the storage compartment behind the rear seat.
Bonus features are a passenger grab bar above the glovebox and a
wicker shelf beneath the instrument panel for additional small item
storage. Competition to this Volkswagen in 1966 included
Chevrolet's Corvair and Chevy II, Ford's Falcon, Dodge's Dart and
Plymouth's Valiant. This car is currently located at our facility
in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 1,912
miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage
exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! CLICK HERE TO VIEW OUR YOUTUBE
