The year is 1952, The popular Mr. Potato Head toy is first sold in
May, The United States tests the first hydrogen bomb during
November of 1952 at the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean and
this cool Styleline Deluxe rolls off the assembly line. Since then
she was recently rebuilt, with only 2000 miles since the rebuild.
With a 350 V8, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carburetor, TH350
automatic trans, 10 bolt rear end with 3:42 gears, TCI Mustang ll
front suspension, Tubular control arms, new leaf springs, front
disc brakes, aluminum radiator, electric fan, Painless wiring
harness, Ididit tilt steering wheel with column shifter, Classic
Instruments gauges, new interior, and radial tires. Throughout the
post-war years, many comfort, convenience and styling options were
available, including tinted glass which was introduced in 1952, the
final year for this style. Popular Mechanics rated fuel economy of
20mpg at 50mph. After the end of the 1952 model year, the old
nameplates�Special and Deluxe�were retired, and changed to 150 and
210, respectively, with trim like their respective former series.
The Bel Air model became a full series, including two- and
four-door sedans, station wagon and convertible; and represented
the top-end model with features similar to the 1950-1952 models. To
