This 1976 Datsun 280Z is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom.
The S30, as it is known in many circles, is a 2-seat sports car
Nissan built from 1968 to 1978. Purpose built to compete head to
head with the established European car companies. It was instantly
accepted by the auto press and customers alike making the Z Japan's
first legitimate sports car. The 280 was the last version of the
S30 and many say the best of the bunch. Released in 75 the new
model had a slighter bigger engine at 2800 CC helping with
emissions. This silver beauty is a notable example of what these
cars were back in 76. The engine is original to the car although it
has been converted over to a carb. It was done back in 77 by the
original owner die to the new EFI being a little too "techy" for
him. The car still accelerates great and has plenty of power up top
but the original EFI set up is available with the car. The exterior
looks great and with it being resprayed the original 306 silver in
1986 the car still shows extremely well. With a new head gasket,
thermostat, temp sending unit, and temp sensor this straight 6
should be good to go for years to come. The 4-speed transmission
shifts out nicely and gives you full control of just how high you
want to rev that straight 6 engines. Open the door and you will see
the black interior which is in excellent condition as well. The
following documents are included in the sale of this up and coming
classic, Window sticker, warranty card, sales invoice, service
booklet, buyers guide, owner's manual and original tool set.
