1988 Ford Mustang

This 1988 Mustang is loaded with features and options including
chrome 5 spoke wheels, performance tires, open air intake and
filter, air, PS, PB, PW, moon roof/t-tops, grey interior, Hurst
Shifter with white shifter ball, and tachometer.
The third-generation Mustang was produced by Ford from 1979 to
1993. It was built on Ford's Fox platform (and thus commonly
referred to as the "Fox" or "Foxbody" Mustang
It underwent updates for 1987, and enthusiasts group the generation
into two segments: the 1979-1986 cars, with their quad headlight
arrangement, and the 1987-1993 cars, with their aerodynamic
composite headlamps and front fascia styling.
The 1987 Mustang received a facelift for both the interior and
exterior. The exterior design was reminiscent of the earlier SVO
and gave the car more of an "Aero" look, in keeping with Ford's
overall styling direction. The interior received an all new dash,
center console and revised seat and door trim.
Also for 1987, rear amber turn signals were discontinued on LX and
GT models. The rear quarter glass windows lost their louvers and
now sported a single larger flush piece of glass lettered with
"Mustang" at the bottom rear corners. The 302 cu in 5.0L Mustangs
became popular with the aftermarket performance industry.
V8-powered Mustangs received E7TE heads and forged aluminum pistons
with valve reliefs, as opposed to the flat-tops used in the
previous year. The E7 cylinder heads were sourced from the truck
line after the 1986 swirl-port design demonstrated performance
problems. Power ratings increased to 225 hp and 300 ft�lb of
torque.
