Performs wonderfully!
One of the nicest 1932 Packards available on the market today!
A collector’s dream!
For 1932 Packard’s Standard Eight line saw several improvements.
The 902 Series models came with a new frame with a 136.5” wheelbase
that featured double drops for the axles and cross-bracing for
extra rigidity. Adjustable suspension referred to as “Ride Control”
was now a standard feature and meant the 1932 Packard Eight ensured
a smooth ride on both paved and unpaved surfaces. The 320 cubic
inch straight-8 was given an increased compression ratio of 6.0 to
1 and raised horsepower to 110. Available body styles for the 1932
line was plentiful as both the 902 and 903 series offered 12 unique
designs based around a dramatic low profile. One of the most
stunning offerings was the Sport Phaeton. This iconic design
featured dual side mount spare tires with a foldable dual cowl and
gave the rear seated passengers an exclusive feel. Options were
plentiful from an available luggage rack, spot lamps and Pilot-Ray
driving lights that rotated with the front wheels and were
typically only seen on the V12 models. Of the 3,700 902
Standard Eight Chassis only a seldom number would leave the Packard
factory with the stunning Dual Cowl Sport Phaeton body and of those
only a handful are known to exist today. Its stunning lines
appealed new to driving enthusiasts of all classes, just as today
the Sport Phaeton is typically only seen in the some of the world’s
more premier collections.
