Vehicle Description

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.  I can assist with financing and transport as needed.

No doubt about it, the 1964 Impala has stood the test of time. Think about this. In 1964 the best-selling car in America was the Chevrolet Impala, with almost 900,000 units sold. More than 50 years later it still looks like something special and remains a very desirable car. Now what is the best-selling car in America today, and in another 50 years will people have any admiration for it? Probably not; this is what makes a classic so special.

This restored Impala certainly makes this point. It is a great looking car from any angle, with plenty of character and charisma. This example is solid and rust-free throughout; be sure to look at all the pictures including the underside and trunk. The body has been repainted Tuxedo Black and received lots of new trim pieces; the grille, bumpers, emblems, lenses, moldings, etc. all look beautiful. It also received new 15" Cragar wheels with BF Goodrich tires (215 front, 255 rear). It all makes for a very sharp car!

The original 327ci V8 and Powerglide 2-speed have been replaced with a rebuilt 350ci motor and TH350 3-speed automatic. This is a great street motor with good oil pressure and plenty of vacuum. Note the aluminum intake manifold, ram horn exhaust manifolds, chrome dress-up pieces, and full fan shroud. This car also has power steering and power brakes, making it easy for anyone to drive. Further, it has new suspension bushings and ball joints for a smooth, solid ride that you might not expect from a 53-year-old car.

The interior is outstanding. I love the black seat covers with patterned cloth inserts, they really dress up the car nicely. The door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting are all excellent too. It has the original big steering wheel and working horn ring. All the manual air vents work properly, as do the heater and defroster. Add the wipers and parking brake to that list too. There is also an aftermarket digital AM/FM radio and oil / temperature gauges.

This Impala represents one of the great American classics and will draw a crowd wherever it goes. It's a lot of car for this price range. A lot of time and money has been spent to ensure things are looking good and mechanically sound; all you have to do is enjoy the ride.
