1968 Chevrolet C10 Pickup for sale. This one-owner, super original California truck was purchased new at Hoff Chevrolet-Cadillac in Martinez, California on 11-15-1967 and has remained with the same owners since. It includes the original California black and gold license plates, factory manual, warranty book, Perma-Plate along with several records. The owner passed away in 2008 and his widow drove the truck lightly when not driving her 1964 Galaxie XL500. She recently passed away and we were fortunate enough to acquire both vehicles.
This C10 inline 6-cylinder starts, runs and drives well with excellent power, no smoke, and tight shifting via it's three-on-the-tree. It runs nice and cool and the gauges are all in working order. The odometer reads 24,638 though it's safe to assume that it has turned. Everything is in good working order except the radio. The truck had not been driven in a couple of years and was serviced including a tune-up, carburetor rebuild, and master cylinder. It could use new tires due to age, otherwise, it seems mechanically solid and an excellent truck for someone who appreciates the rarity of an original, one-owner California vehicle of this era. It also would be a good candidate for a restoration.
The exterior is mostly straight though there are a couple of dings and small areas with rust. The thin paint looks to be original along with the trim and glass; wooden bed flooring, upholstery, etc. We understand that the vintage SportsLiner camper shell has been on it since new so the bed area has been well protected. The floors are very solid though there are a couple of very small areas with rust such as the front left lower fender and a small spot at the floor to the left of the drivers seating area. Overall the truck is very solid. I have an exhaustive number of undercarriage photos and can provide a link to high-resolution versions if desired.
