Vehicle Description
In 1940, a convertible sedan was added to the Mercury lineup. Only
978 of these body styles were created, as it was a one-year option
and carried a hefty price tag. This convertible sedan is finished
in the rare and original color Albacore Blue. With a burgundy
leather interior and a tan top, it has many factory options, such
as AM radio and a factory heater that includes a defroster. Unusual
for the era, it is equipped with a locking steering wheel. This
technology would not become widely used throughout the market until
the late 1960s. It's powered by a 239ci V8 engine with 3-speed
manual transmission.
