Vehicle Description
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Hardtop for sale in West Springfield,
MA 01089. This automobile is a solid driver and can be improved
upon for show, if that is what you want, or just driven the way it
is. There is less than one thousand miles on a GM crate 350 CI with
290 horsepower, a fully rebuilt Saginaw four speed transmission and
new fifteen-inch tires. The auto exterior is painted in the
original colors with the roof being Adobe Beige and the bottom
being Sierra Gold. The interior was done in red velour (think
Elvis) by the previous owner and I have not changed that. The
entire interior and inside the trunk are red from a color change
also by a previous owner. The bones of the interior are original so
an original 1957 style interior can be installed. The improvements
and new parts (primarily Danchuk - Ecklers) include power front
disc brakes with dual master cylinder, rear drums - brakes,
complete re-wire of entire auto, weather stripping (doors, trunk,
hood), window - belt molding felts, radiator, carburetor, manifold,
electric windshield wipers, front - rear bumpers - brackets
complete, grille bar and grill, hood bar - extensions, hood
bullets, horns, battery box, tail lamp assemblies to include
housings, body side moldings, Hurst shifter from shift ball through
rods, new fuel tank, fill tube back flow preventer, coil springs,
leaf springs, shocks and several scripts. There are three defects in
the paint to include one chip on the left roof drip rail, two small
marks on the hood toward the front and a small area (half dollar
size) where the clear coat came off with the tape when I was
installing the inserts. The driver side front floor pan should be
replaced and is currently patched and the passenger side front
floor pan needs repair. The floor supports (6) were previously
patched and, although structurally sound, would need replacement if
next owner wants to make show car.
