The C3 generation of Corvettes ran from 1968 to 1982, but had some
various changes throughout the run of the Stingray. With gov't
restrictions killing off muscle cars the stingray had to transition
to more of a cruiser. A Chevrolet advertisement headlined: "We gave
it radials, a quieter ride, guard beams and a nose job."
Improvements to body mounts and interior did improve the Corvette's
ride and interior noise was reduced by 40%. Today, C3 Corvettes are
some of the best buys in the classic automobile world. These cars
were incredibly popular and provide a great ride with plenty of
available spare parts. Get behind the wheel and have some classic
fun in a Stingray!
The 1976 Stingray offered here is a blast to drive. The Stingray was a part of a small collection for over 30 years and was well maintained. It is powered by its 350 v8 paired with an automatic transmission. The engine was given a chrome dress up kit and presents well. The car handles very well and operates as it should. It has just had a new Quadrajet carburetor and new fuel pump. The car rides on 15" wheels with BFG radial T/A tires mounted on them. Other features include side pipes, T-tops with storage bags, power windows, power brakes, power steering, new hood insulation and shop manuals.
