Up for sale we have a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible that has been cloned to look like a 1970 Chevelle. This car sports a beautiful resto mod look that has also had some upgrades done to the drivetrain. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. When you look down the sides you will see the body is straight with good fit of all the panels. Everything is covered in the Cranberry Red Paint that's accented by the Black Stripes that are buried under the clear. Looking at the front you will see it's all been changed to look like a '70. Also, it has a true cowl induction hood that's working. The top is Power and done in Black that complements the stripes. The paint has been buffed and polished to a deep rich shine with a slick finish. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of 20" American Racing Wheels with new tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the inside, it's done in classic black that flows perfectly with the exterior scheme. The '70 model bucket seats have been recovered and the padding in them is good. The door panels and carpet are also done in black and in good condition. Looking at the dash it has had the pad replaced and the speedometer, gas gauge, and even the clock is working. You'll also notice the sound system has been upgraded with a Sony deck, speaker change, and sub with amp in the trunk. This Chevelle has had Vintage Air Condition added with the controls in the factory location, and it also has a tilt wheel.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's sporting a built 454 Big Block that's set up with Edelbrock Aluminum Heads and Intake with a Demon Carb. This Big Block is dressed with the BowTie Aluminum Valve covers and silver Air Breather. To keep it cool it's got a four-core radiator with an Electric Fan. The 454 is mated to the Turbo 400 Trans with a Gear Vendor Overdrive and a 12 Bolt Posi rear end with a sway bar. The brakes are Power with Wilwood disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear. Along with the Power Brakes this Chevelle also has Power Steering. For exhaust, it's got Headers with Dual Pipes and Flow Master Mufflers. When you look under this '72 everything appears to be solid with the trunk pan being replaced along with the driver side floor pans.
We are selling this car to be a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible clone as it started life as a 1972 model.
