this 1952 Ford F1 1/2 Ton 239/110HP V8 Pick Up Truck with factory
options including the highly desirable 'R' coded and factory
upgraded and rare and rebuilt 239c.i. 110HP V8 engine, which is
very powerful for this truck, and its original 3 speed manual
column shift (three on the tree) transmission. The truck is a
beautiful example of a completely rust free and nuts and bolt
restored rare factory optioned V8 fifties pick up and a true
survivor and a super striking daily driver or promotional truck!
This particular truck's powerful 239ci V8 engine runs strong and
sounds absolutely magnificent and the truck drives really well -
must be driven to be appreciated - drives straight as an arrow with
no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable
daily driver with a smooth and easy transmission shift and
effortless acceleration. The truck had recently come out of storage
and had undergone an extensive nuts and bolt mechanical and
cosmetic restoration some 4 years ago leaving the truck looking and
driving as good as when new!This first generation F1 series was
built between 1948-52 and had a maximum GVWR of 4,700 lbs and t he
F-series was given a facelift in 1951 with the original five
horizontal bars bars under the hood being replaced by one massive
bar supported by three similarly chunky uprights for a more
masculine and aggressive look. The truck now also had a better cab
and technical advances such as a vacuum ignition advance device
plus both beefed-up transmission and brakes. This is an extremely
