Vehicle Description
In 1929, country fuel tankers were few and far between they had a
special built 2 compartment tank fitted to a Roadster Pickup Ford
Model A. It was common to see one refueling a tank connect to a
visible pump in front of a Country General Store. Deliveries were a
welcome site for both gasoline and kerosene. Here you have an
authentic all Ford steel 1929 Model A Roadster Pickup Truck
outfitted with a Model A 2 compartment tanker. Open the rear
doghouse doors and find the typical hose and brass nozzle that
would connect to one of the 2 outlet nozzles installed. This truck
is a tribute to Shell Oil, professional frame off restored, clad in
mirror finish yellow and black paint. All new interior, engine
rebuilt to specs - 4 cylinder Lhead 40 HP mated to standard 3 speed
Ford transmission. Carefully clad in all the tribute signage that
would advertise the company of the era. Runs and performs as new. A
rare opportunity to use for museum and/or Petroliana collection of
the most discerning collector. Youtube video available upon
request. Call our classic car division at 815-385-8408 for video
