1981 Chevrolet Corvette has those attributes and much, much more.
It's a motorized masterpiece that is truly the total package, and
it comes with plenty of documentation to back up that claim.
Factory build sheet, window sticker, maintenance records, owner's
manual... It's all there for your inspection. In fact, the odometer
reads only 27K, and it is strongly believed to be the actual
mileage. Once you see this amazing automobile, you'll be inclined
to think so too.
Both the paint and the fiberglass body work are in extremely nice
condition. The front bumper was repainted at some point (as is
often the need with urethane bumpers from this era), but aside from
that, she looks to be all original. The lustrous silver metallic
finish is mostly original and literally glistens as it flows across
the gently sweeping contours of the Corvette. Any light scratches
are so miniscule that they are nearly impossible to see. Of course,
T-Tops are among the most popular features on a Vette from this
era, and these tops fit perfectly with a nice tight seal and no
leaks. The signature hideaway headlights look great and work
flawlessly, neatly tucking themselves into the body after each use.
In fact, every seam throughout the entire car is punctuated by a
smooth, even fit that bespeaks the workmanship that went into the
construction of this iconic machine. Seriously, you'd be
hard-pressed to find a more beautiful '81 Vette.
You'll continue to be impressed as you slide into the rich, leather
driver's seat. The perfect complement for a silver metallic finish
would be a black interior, and that's exactly what you'll find
here. The seats look and feel as though they may have been
reupholstered (although the claim is that they're original);
they're as soft and supple as you could ever imagine! The carpet is
still nice and dark with all its depth of color. Virtually every
power option that was available in 1981 is at your command. Ice
cold a/c, power windows and door locks, rear defogger... You name
it. It's there. All of the instrumentation works as it should and
is easily legible. And the factory AM-FM radio resonates with that
retro sound that takes you back to the moment when this car rolled
off the showroom.
Open the tilt-forward hood and you'll find that the engine
compartment in this Silver Bullet has been immaculately detailed
and offers solid evidence as to how well this car has been treated
over the past 36 years. The numbers matching 350 cubic inch L81
power plant appears totally original right on down to the factory
air cleaner, air duct, and black finned valve covers. All of the
stickers under the hood are intact and in near-pristine condition.
The motor has been well-maintained, starts easily and runs out
exceptionally well. It has been paired with the venerable TH350
three speed automatic transmission to complete one of the most
solid drive train combinations ever offered. And as previously
mentioned, the motor and transmission numbers do indeed match!

that, once again, everything is clean, original, and in good
