Vehicle Description
Built by Pete Chapouris' 'SoCal Speed Shop' for the TLC show 'Hard
Shine'. Its owner, Spectre Racing, drove it to both road course and
drag racing duties. It has power steering and AC, so can be
comfortably street driven between races. No holds barred or expense
spared. Appraised in 2008 for $180,000+
Starting with a no hit, no rust 1970 El Camino donor, the LS7 was
installed between custom tubular front frame rails which lowered
the engine down and back about 8" making for close to 50/50 weight
distribution. The rowdy 427 cu inch engine crate motor was
purchased brand new from Chevrolet. It puts out 650hp and almost
equal torque! a Tremec 6 speed manual shifts gears. There are lots
of custom modern suspension pices and parts from Global West with
Baer 6 piston calipers with vented rotors to slow things down,
OMG!
For a complete list of features and equipment please call or email,
the list is too long to write up here. Also to see the car in

worth looking at!
