Vehicle Description
The Ford F-Series is a series of light-duty trucks and medium-duty
trucks (Class 2-7) that have been marketed and manufactured by Ford
Motor Company since 1948. While most variants of the F-Series
trucks are full-size pickup trucks, the F-Series also includes
chassis cab trucks and commercial vehicles. The Ford F-Series has
been the best-selling vehicle in the United States since 1981 and
the best-selling pickup since 1977. It is also the best-selling
vehicle in Canada. The first-generation F-Series pickup (known as
the Ford Bonus-Built) was introduced in 1948 as a replacement for
the previous car-based pickup line introduced in 1942. The F-Series
was sold in eight different weight ratings, with pickup, panel
truck, cab-over engine (COE), conventional truck, and school bus
chassis body styles.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1951 Ford F1 5 Star
Deluxe Cab for consideration. This F1 is in immaculate condition
inside and out with the rare 'Deluxe cab" option this beautiful
truck is even more unique! The Five Star Deluxe cab features
include; the silver grill, dual visors, dual horns and extra trim
around the windshield, etc. According to the documentation and the
current owner, this vehicle was restored in late 2013, during the
restoration process the owner took before, during and after photos,
and also has provided us with a large stack of receipts and extra
documentation on the vehicle. This truck is powered by the original
239 cubic inch flathead that was rebuilt along with the
restoration. The transmission has also been upgraded to a T-5 speed
for convenience and is strong in all gears and the old 6 volt
system has been upgraded to 12 volt. This is truly an excellent
truck inside and out, this professionally done restoration did not
spare any expense. This truck has about 1,000 miles on it since the
restoration, and has been stored inside and always cared for in the
