Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is proud to offer this 1977
Pontiac Trans Am W72. 1977 was the year that the American Muscle
car would begin to make its come back. Pontiac was at the forefront
of this movement with its all new W72 option for its formula and
T/A Firebird's. The option would use the 400 L78 block but would
have the 350 Hi Compression heads which increased to 91 CC's. The
compression was also upped to an astounding 8.2:1 ratio which was
big news in 77. A high performance Cam was used as well giving the
TA a unique loping idle. Fitted with a Rochester 800 CFM carb
getting enough fuel will never be a problem. As with most of these
high revving small blocks a high pressure oil pump was used
ensuring good oil flow at the higher RPM's. With the motor putting
out good HP and a ton of torque this extremely low mileage T/A is
ready rip off some nice and smokey burn out's. The exterior of this
W72 Firebird is in excellent condition with the brown having a
great deal of flake it really comes to life in the sunlight. The
car was recently purchased from the original owner's estate and is
a cream puff if the ever was one. Included in the sale is not only
the build sheet but the original window sticker. Decked out with
deluxe interior the rarity and collectability of this 6.6 T/A is at
the top of the list. Finish all of this off by the fact that the
car has a little less than 29700 miles and this Phoenix is sure to
fly again. Options on this all original 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans
Am W72 include; AC, AM/FM/ Cassette, Power Brakes, Power Steering,
