1938 Hupmobile 4 door sedan 3 speed 6 cylinder flathead motor. One of the last few hupmobiles made. Will start up and drive onto a trailer. All of the brakes need to be replaced. We will throw in a front bumper from a 38' Dodge or Plymouth, which is a VERY similar bumper as the hupmobile had. Was painted several years ago, but will need a new one for show room quality. Only surface rust underneath. I did not find anything rusted out on this car. Overall, very clean. Came from Georgia over 20 years ago. Has a clean Minnesota title. Been stored in a clean garage since. Has not been started in a few years.
Please do not call asking for parts off whole vehicles. My phone floods with calls from guys looking for parts. It’s frustrating. We are not a salvage yard. Parting cars leaves the guy who buys the whole car scrambling to find these parts that I sold. I will not do it!
All vehicles are being sold in as-is condition. We do not warranty them. We do our best to give the most accurate descriptions and will disclose any information we know about the vehicle. Please ask us for more photos if you are unsure about the condition. Getting photos of the underside of a vehicle is difficult as we do not have a car lift.
Buyers can make payment at any time. We accept cash in person, check, money orders, Paypal and all major credit cards. There is a 3% charge for all Paypal and credit card charges. Non-refundable deposits can also be made. A deposit will hold a vehicle for 45 days. After the 45 days, buyer will lose deposit and vehicle will be held for resale. Buyer has 45 days from the time of making full payment to collect vehicle, unless prior arrangements with us are made. After 45 days, buyer will lose vehicle and any money paid. We do not refund money. Like any other car dealer, once a car is paid for, it’s yours!
Transporting vehicle is your responsibility. We can assist in finding transport and loading vehicle. We have a skidsteer on site, but cannot drive the skidsteer onto their trailer or lift vehicle up. Please find a transporter that has a flatbed trailer and winch. We’ve had problems with transporters coming with double decker trailers. These aren’t the most suitable in hauling these old non-running vehicles.
Some of our vehicles do not have titles. The titles were lost several years ago and the vehicles were abandoned. We can apply for and receive a title, at no cost to you, for a vehicle if it’s bought at full asking price. The process to receive a title back from the Minnesota DMV takes between 3 and 6 months.
