Vehicle Description
This 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 spent the majority of its life
in Arizona before going to Oregon where we purchased from the
second owner. This is in excellent original condition and from what
we can tell has had only one repaint. Comes with Cowboy Hat Holder
and Cowboy hat you see in the pictures. Also has the outside spare
tire holder which needs a new hinge and paint and new spare.
The backstory on this vehicle is the the previous owner purchased
from the original owner in Arizona. The engine was replaced in the
70's with a GM 250 Straight Six and it runs like a top. This FJ
drove great and got up to speed quickly. This is great driving
vehicle for around town and will cruise 60-70 MPH or so and you
will be pleased with the way it drives. Have fun and drive it just
the way it is or drive it and restore and upgrade as you go. The
paint has plenty of patina and looks to have been repainted long
ago. The underside has never been touched and has surface rust, but
it is solid and all there.
The stock gauges have been converted over to aftermarket and the
speedo works, but the odometer was not turning so we do not know
the true mileage. Buy this one based on the solid underside and
great background.
