Vehicle Description
Stk 2315 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
The Chevelle SS396 is one of the most popular muscle cars ever
built. This 1970 SS396 is a classic example of GM prominence. The
beautiful SS experienced a full restoration in 2010 and no detail
was spared during the process. It was recently judged by the
Antique Automobile Club of America at a show in central
Pennsylvania. The stunning body was re-sprayed Cranberry Red (Code
75) with a contrasting black SS sport stripping. Goodyear PolyGlas
bias-belted tires are mounted on 14" GM SS Rally wheels. The
restored interior is black vinyl with bucket seats, full console
and all the correct gauges. Factory options included power
steering, power windows and Delco AM/FM/Cassette stereo system.
Power-assisted front discs/rear drums control stopping. Our owner
believes that the 396/350hp engine is matching numbers. Interesting
enough, 1970 was the last year for the SS396. Mid-way through the
production year, Chevy phased in the SS454 for the series. The
transmission is a GM TH400 automatic with console shifter. An F-41
suspension package supports the 12-bolt GM posi-traction
differential. This Chevelle is a beautiful SS396 and will vastly
improve your garage's appearance - plus your heart rate on the
street. It can be yours ALL VEHICLES SOLD ' AS IS'
