Vehicle Description
Henry Ford spent most his first years fighting off the idea of
changing the Model T which produced and sold over 15 million models
before his son, Edsel, finally convinced him that some new features
and comforts were necessary. On May 25th, 1927, Ford announced the
shutdown of the plant and production of the Model A and began
retooling the entire factory to begin its new and improved version,
the Model A. They completed this process in almost 6 months and had
cars pumping out quickly which was only possible due to Edsel
secretly marshaling the design and sketch team to begin working on
the new model prior to Henry ever even approving such a change.
Although many have come to appreciate the original designs, even
more have enjoyed customizing these antiques into more modern and
drivable rides such as this example you see today.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this beautifully customized
example of the 1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe for your
consideration. The car was built in 2002 and was a labor of love;
no expense was spared in building it. The car has won multiple
awards and trophies. The car was nothing more than an all steel
shell that had never been cut or chopped in the beginning. It was
built completely from the ground up and has a handsome pile of
receipts reelecting this. It features some great creature comforts
like power brakes, air conditioning, wipers and heat, this classic
car has been upgraded to modern comfort. The car is powered by a
healthy 355 v8 that was bored .30 over 350 and was given a mild
comp cam. The block features Trickflow twisted wedge aluminum
heads, March pulleys and brackets, serpentine belt system, aluminum
valve covers and coated block hugger headers and is fitted with a
350 T.P.I. fuel injection system. The car features a 350 turbo
automatic transmission.
The car rides on American Racing 200S polished aluminum rims. The

drop front axle with 4 bar front suspension with Vega steering box,
