For Sale: 1932 Ford Roadster in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

This one looks like a well-built 1932 Ford Cabriolet inside and out - it even has a rumble seat! But as you look at the V8 in the engine bay and the chassis underneath, it soon becomes clear that this mild classic is really a wild child.

The body on this car looks quite authentic. It's a Westcott Fiberglass body with Polyform fenders. It means this one has all the great elements you love in a classic Model A, including the upright grille, running boards, and chrome luggage rack. But it's all actually part of a lightweight package. That's something to keep in mind as you dig deeper into this unique classic. Brightwork is in all the right places like the bumpers, headlight pods, and surrounding the windshield. These elements pop quite nicely against the slick black paint. Even the details are great, like how the green pinstripe on the body matches the Ford V8 logo in the wire wheels.

This one really does nail the look of a Model A Deluxe right down to the folding roof. And when you peek inside, you'll see an authentic presentation finished in a great looking and durable brown vinyl. The bench seat and door panels have the appearance of a nicely restored 1930s machine. This even matches the rumble seat out back. The exterior black continues on the dashboard, and all the gauges are in a bright panel - just as it should be in a Model A. But then you start to notice some nice upgrades, like the small diameter banjo-style wheel and that the gauges are a modern VDO readouts. It tells your senses there's something special under the hood even before you twist the key.

One look at the engine bay, and you realize that all of this jaunty classic appearance is a bit of a ruse. After all, that's a mean looking muscle car V8 under the hood. And the deception is a bit deeper than you thought. Because despite the Cobra air topper and valve covers, you're actually looking at a 350 cubic-inch Chevy V8! That means you get the look of great Ford history and the ease of SBC upgrade availability. In fact, this one is already a balance and blueprinted motor that has go-fast goodies like a Comp Cams 260-degree mild camshaft, Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. This total power package gives a nice rumble to the dual exhaust that the original '32 never came close to having. It's backed up by a stout TH350 three-speed automatic transmission that feeds the Ford 9-inch rear end. All of this is built on top of a strong Total Performance chassis. And so, just like a hot rod, you have a chromed four-link front end front suspension and a beefy triangulated four-bar rear end with coilovers. You even have the upgraded control of Mustang steering and front disc brakes.

With less than 7,500 miles on it since completion, this is the great-looking, rumble-seat '32 Ford that your family wants for parades... and it's also the performance-built lightweight hot rod of your dreams. But something this unique never stays available for long. So don't miss out, call today!
