Up for sale we have a 1972 Chevrolet Malibu. This car has had a
frame up restoration done and now sports the Chevelle SS emblems.
It was in the same family since it was bought new until last year.
In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the
exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would
like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,
that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us
for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at
(865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Malibu. The body is rock
solid and is straight down the sides with all the door, hood and
trunk gaps being great. This car was repainted in Cranberry Red
which is the factory color, but it was updated with White Stripes
that are painted on under the clear. The paint has been buffed and
polished to a deep rich shine that has a mirror finish. Also, at
the time of the resto a Cowl Hood was added along with new door
handles and emblems. The front-end chrome and grill was also
replaced. The rest of the Chrome and Stainless is all in great
condition, with the window trim showing some light aging. To finish
off the look it's sitting on a set of 17" and 18" Chrome US Mags
with new tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of the '72. On the inside, it's
done in the two-tone white and black color combo that provides the
perfect complement to the exterior. It was upgraded with front
bucket seats and new seat covers were installed. The door panels
were replaced along with the carpet and seal plates. Looking at the
dash you'll see it was upgraded with the round gauges and white
faces. The speedometer is working along with the gas gauge and
upgraded radio. This is a factory Air Condition car and yes, it is
working!
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of the Chevrolet. Under the
hood it features the matching numbers 350 Block. This is a factory
L48 car that came with the Four Barrel Carb. It has been upgraded
to a Edelbrock Carb, but still has the '72 Model Intake. The 350 is
mated to 350 Turbo trans, and the correct KDC suffix 12 Bolt Rear
End with 2.73 Gears. For exhaust it has Manifolds with dual pipes
and flow master mufflers. To go along with the Factory Air
Condition it also has Power Steering and Power Brakes with Disc on
the front. When you look under this Malibu you're going to be
impressed with how great the floors, frame, and bushings look.
