Vehicle Description
For sale in our Denver showroom is a true American classic, a very
original 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe. This beauty scored a 98.7
NCRS Duntov Mark of Excellence Award at the National level. The
year was 1966, Lyndon Johnson was President, "Paperback Writer" by
the Beatles debuted and this brand-new Corvette was rolling onto
the streets. Times were different then, cars had character,
attitude, and horsepower. This Chevrolet is Milano Maroon in color
and looking inside you'll find saddle vinyl interior that looks
near new, as it's NOS GM material. Just take a look at the HD
pictures and video to understand how clean this Corvette is. The
ground-up restoration took place in 2013. Under the hood is the
original, number's matching 327 CID V8 (300 HP) engine. The engine
was rebuilt with a performance camshaft raising the horsepower to
350. Backing the 327 engine is a Powerglide automatic transmission
that shifts great. Options include: AM/FM radio, power brakes,
power steering, telescopic wheel, seat belts, vinyl interior, bias
ply tires, and aluminum alloy "knock off" wheels - not
reproduction. The rear-end gears are 3.36:1 which make for great
all-around driving. The current owner has owned this vehicle since
1979 and has kept it under his close watch and care. You won't find
too many 66s like this one. The originality of this Corvette is
stunning, heck, the fan clutch is original. If you are looking for
an investment piece, show car, cruiser, or crazy enough to daily
drive this engineering masterpiece, this Corvette won't steer you
wrong. To view the car in greater detail, including an HD video and
