Vehicle Description
By 1953 Chevrolet had decided to scrap their immediate post war
models. While sales were still good Ford and Plymouth were gaining
on Chevrolet with newer styles that reflected the new national
prosperity and optimism.
A completely new design, the 1953 Chevys featured three new model
names as well. The 210 was the mid-range model for the year. All
the models shared a 6 cylinder OHV 235 cu.in. engine but the sport
model developed slightly more horsepower. The transmission on this
car is a synchromesh three speed.
This particular car has undergone a complete high quality
restoration. The interior is original in brown cloth. The paint is
Bermuda Green over a Fiesta Cream body.
It is said to run smoothly and drive well.
The 210 Sport Coup is a relatively rare classic and this is a fine
example.
