Vehicle Description
When Jaguar decided to replace the iconic and highly successful
E-type sports car they also decided to go in a very different
direction. The replacement was the XJS. This was a powerful
high-speed touring car built for cruising comfort and luxury
introduced in 1975. The XJS was to remain in production for 21
years thanks to constant improvements and an appreciation for what
it offered.
Technically this is a 1989 � version because of those constant
upgrades. What is important is that this is a low mileage original
car at 27,400 miles and best described as a "survivor" that has
been maintained to the highest level of attention. In fact, well
know Jaguar expert Brian Donovan has looked after this car over the
years.
It is also a beautiful example with the original British Racing
Green paint and biscuit colored Connolly leather interior, bucket
seats and wood trim. The steering wheel is a rare Momo model wood
rim with a Jaguar emblem in the center. The handsome wheels are
from BBS. Another attractive feature is added the luggage rack.
The owner has also made some improvements using oil resistant
polyurethane in place of the rubber fittings and replacing the
battery with an Optima "yellowtop."

The fuel injected V12 5.3 Liter engine delivers over 265 HP through
a 3-speed automatic transmission. In keeping with its luxury status
the car includes factory air conditioning, power windows, power
steering and power brakes.
The Jaguar XJS is in the process of being "discovered" by Jaguar
enthusiasts and this is a spectacular example.
