Vehicle Description
The 1980s were a tough time for performance cars, smog and
emissions tests combined with the increasing rate of fuel prices
meant that performance had reached an all time low. The most
powerful engines in muscle and sports cars could barely muster
200hp. When Chevrolet introduced the all new C4 Corvette in 1984,
the company chose to emphasis handling and agility over sheer
horsepower. The new design represented a clean break from the C3
generation with sleek new styling and a completely new chassis and
suspension. With all independent suspension highlighted by a new
lightweight transverse fiberglass mono-leaf spring that was
significantly lighter than the older coil springs. Also new was a
"uniframe" that consisted of a traditional perimeter frame with the
door posts, windshield and rear floor pan all integrated into a
single piece.
This 1995 example is one of the last C4's to roll of the Bowling
Green production line. Featuring a whole hosts of upgrades over the
earlier cars, this Corvette is much more advanced. Featuring the
5.7L LT1 port injected V8 that was introduced in 1992 that produced
a solid 300hp, it is mated to a stought 4-speed automatic
transmission. With just 10,465 miles on the odometer, this is one
of the nicest C4 Corvettes we have seen and even has the original
owner's manual. The cars bright red paint is spotless and there are
no marks in the fiberglass body work. The glass is clean and it
features a removable, tinted, targa top. The revised interior is in
excellent shape, the leather seats are spotless and all of the
instrumentation works with no bleed on the LCD panels. The car has
such comfortable features such as strong air conditioning, dual
power seats, power windows, power locks, cruise control, rear
defogger, twin airbags, ABS, and keyless entry. The staggered 17in
alloy wheels are in beautiful condition and have no curb rash.
Just 20,742 C4 Corvettes were produced in 1995 and it makes it one
of the rarer C4 models. With extremely low miles and a beautiful
condition inside and out this Corvette is one of the nicest we've
