Talk about a rare pony. This 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT Coupe has
only 96 miles and came from the factory in the one-year Mystic
Clearcoat Metallic paint color. Only 2,000 cars were painted in
this color. It is a rare find and there isn't anything like it on
the market, especially with under 100 miles.
This car was purchased new through Tony Betten Ford of Grand
Rapids, MI and has stayed local since, stored indoors. The original
window sticker is still in tact and displayed on the passenger
window. Nothing on this car has been altered. The car is powered by
Ford's 4.6L SHP 4V DOHC V8 engine mated to a 5-Speed Manual
transmission with rear-wheel drive. Again, it is finished in
factory Mystic Clearcoat Metallic. 1996 was the only year they made
this color and they released just 2,000 cars with this color. The
paint is green based, but depending on which angle the car is
viewed from, the colors shift from green to purple to root beer to
gold. The car also came with upgrades like a CD player, Alarm
System, Mach 460 Stereo and Speakers, and Leather Seats.

1996 SVT Mustang Cobra
The major change for the 1996 SVT Mustang Cobra was the move to a
brand-new, unique powertrain, a hand-assembled, all-aluminum dual
overhead cam (DOHC) 4.6-liter V-8 rated at 305 horsepower. With its
high-revving characteristics, the Modular engine was worlds apart
from the venerable 5.0 small-block and ushered the SVT Cobra into a
new era of modern performance. The engine change brought about a
65-hp increase over the previous year, good for a 0-60 mph time of
5.9 seconds, the quarter-mile in 13.9 and a top speed of 152 mph.
To enhance the exclusivity of the Cobra Coupe, a unique high-tech,
color-shifting paint dubbed "Mystic" was offered, with a one-time
run of just 2,000 "Mystic" Coupes produced.
