Launched in 1948, the legendary Ford F-series began as a
replacement for the previous car-based pickups. For the first time,
Ford was building pickups on a dedicated truck platform creating a
much better workhorse than previously available. Classic trucks are
gaining momentum in the collector auto markets. Ford's 1st F-series
generation lasted from the 1948-1952 model years, but significantly
changed in appearance from year to year making each version unique
and pretty rare. While trucks sold well, most were obviously used
work heavy workloads leaving few surviving examples in excellent
condition.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1950 Ford F1 Pickup for
purchase. The body on this vehicle is in wonderful condition per
being a Minnesota vehicle. The complete frame on restoration was
done just back in 2015. The engine is an original 337ci V8 that has
been rebuilt along with the restoration. The vehicle has been kept
to all original specs and has many new parts, all new drum brakes,
new master cylinder, new interior vinyl, new trunk gate, newer
tires and much more. Even though it is a pickup, it is believed to
have never been used as a pickup - the inside of this beautiful F1
is set off by the fresh vinyl and mint red dash. This is truly an
excellent truck inside and out, this professionally done
restoration did not spare any expense. This truck has been stored
