Vehicle Description
In 1975 Jaguar ended production of the iconic E-type sports car in
part because it could not meet USA crash safety standards. The
replacement was a totally different approach and certainly not a
traditional sports car. The XJ-S was instead a high speed, luxury
touring car that remained in production for some 20-years.
This car is an example of the 1991 version of the XJS with the V12
SOHC 24V 5.3-liter engine. The transmission is an automatic. A
convertible 2-door, the car is a silver/champagne color with a
black cloth top. The leather seats are a light tan color and in
good condition. Current mileage is 49,800. The present owner says
the car runs well and is in good shape. It has been stored inside.
Top, radio and air-conditioning all work.
While the value of E-type Jaguars has climbed dramatically in
recent years the XJS remains a reasonably priced opportunity to own
a high performance car from a coveted marque.
