1976 Chevrolet Corvette
VIN: 1Z37X6S437448
The car was originally purchased in Calgary, Alberta June 1976. The
car was seized by the U.S. Government in April of 1983 given the
owner’s legal issues. Ownership was transferred to my father-in-law
in 1984 in return for payment to the original owner’s attorney for
legal fees. The car had approximately 72,000 miles on it at that
time. It is an interesting story and I have documentation outlining
it. The car was garage stored and sparingly driven (It now has
85,900 miles and I have a folder full of receipts outlining the
maintenance completed on the car from 1984 to 2009 – when I
purchased it from my father-in-law). Since then the car has been
driven less than 100 miles though it now has new: sound system,
wheels/tires, paint (by Toxic Designs), ZZ4 350 crate engine
(ordered/installed by Auto Tech Specialists of Billings. Less than
100 miles on new engine – original engine will go with car),
serpentine belt/system, radiator, battery, alternator, exhaust
system, rebuilt transmission, driveline, etc. The interior was
refurbished by Auto Weave Upholstery in Denver. I have receipts
outlining all of the above and much more.
