Vehicle Description
A stunning "hotrod" flat black and "Mayfair Maze" paint scheme
makes this 1966 Firebird Convertible both a show winner and a head
turner on the road. Not only does this Firebird stand out because
of the dramatic way the paint accentuates the smooth lines of the
Firebird body but it has also been recently undergone a substantial
rebuild complete with a new 428 cu. in. Royal Pontiac Factory
rebuild of the powerful V-8. The owner did a complete renovation of
the car to the tune of nearly $40,000 over a five-year period. That
renovation included a rebuilt engine, rebuilt 2 speed automatic
transmission, The exhaust system including headers is new as
well.
The upgrades include a new Hotchkiss sports suspension system both
front and rear that can be adjusted to suit the driver's taste.
Also included is a new interior with seats and a new convertible
black cloth top.
The current owner has full documentation of the rebuild including
before, during and after photographs.
This car has been featured in the Times Union newspaper's "Winner's
Circle."
The only reason the owner is putting this much loved vehicle up for
auction is to help pay for his son's college tuition otherwise he
would continue to use it for family outings.
