Vehicle Description
The C4 Corvette, produced from 1984-1996, represented a drastic
change from the previous C3 generation with its completely new
chassis, design, and interior layout. The C4 did not use separate
body-on-frame construction like its predecessors. Instead, it used
what GM termed a "uniframe", which consisted of a traditional
perimeter frame, with the door posts, windshield frame, halo, and
the rear portion of the floor pan integrated into one welded
assembly. The targa and convertible body styles required extremely
tall side rails on the frame to maintain chassis rigidity, and as a
result, the door sills were quite deep with entry and exit likened
by contemporary auto journals to a "fall in and climb out"
experience but the primary design emphasis was on handling. The
1994 model year is significant to Corvette enthusiasts as it marked
the opening of the National Corvette Museum. Additional
improvements made to the car starting in '94 include sequential
fuel injection system to improve idle, drivability and emissions by
firing the injectors in sequence with the firing order, a lock-out
on the new automatic prevented moving the selected to drive until
the brake pedal was depressed, and the rear window in the
convertible was changed from plastic to glass and included an
in-glass defroster element. The air conditioning system was also
changed over to R-134A refrigerant.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this low-mileage example of
the 1994 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe for your consideration. With its
350 V8 mated to a smooth shifting automatic transmission, this
power plant is sure to keep the joy coming to the owner behind the
wheel. This 3 owner 'Vette rides on Firestone tires. It has air
conditioning, tilt wheel, removable targa top, power driver's seat.
The Green paint shows well and the tan interior shows well for the
age of the car.
