For sale in our Chicago showroom is this recently modified 1987
Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. What is modified you ask? Well, the
factory 307 is known to be very reliable, but not all too quick.
The seller really wanted to have a solid cruiser with a healthy
dose of power, so that had to go. In its place is a carbureted 5.3l
LS-based V8 out of a late-model Chevy SUV backed to a TH350
automatic. In addition to the aluminum intake and carb, a set of
long tube headers were installed to optimize use of the space in
the engine bay, and a mild cam was installed to bring power to
right around 400 horsepower, which is plenty to get this G-body
moving. The Cutlass still wears its original paint, and is still
fitted with most of its original interior. A few tasteful upgrades
were done to improve the driving experience, such as an aftermarket
AM/FM/CD player and a B&M shifter. The otherwise factory
interior is just as plush as the day it left the factory. The
cranberry cloth seats are happy to hold you for longer cruises,
making it feel like you are riding on a cloud. The tasteful 5-spoke
chrome wheels make for a more modern look, while still retaining
the authentic mid-muscle feel. With plenty of power tucked in a
clean, original style package, this is a great example of
hot-rodding. Options include: AM/FM/CD, Power Brakes, Power Door
Locks, Power Steering, Power Windows, Seat Belts, and a Tilt
Steering Wheel. For more information on this sporty 1987 Oldsmobile
