Ghia Coupe for purchase. To capitalize on the Beetle's popularity,
Volkswagen introduced the sporty Karmann Ghia. The Karmann Ghia had
a rear-mounted 4 cylinder engine and was given many of the Beetle's
proven mechanicals and it was a very economical car. The real
attraction was the style of the bodywork by the Italian outfit,
Ghia, and the renowned coachwork of Karmann. The unique styling
makes well preserved survivors highly sought after collector's
items today.
The 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia offered here originally resided in
Florida for many years, and then the car changed hands and moved to
Michigan, where it spent many years. The car was always garage kept
and well cared for. The Karmann Ghia just recently received a new
clutch and throw out bearing. It is dressed in yellow paint that
shows well. The chrome is nice and shiny and shows well also. The
interior is covered in black vinyl and has a white headliner. The 4
cylinder engine runs well and is mated to a 4 speed manual
transmission. This car is sure to put a smile on your face.
