high quality, highly original 1968 Cadillac Deville Convertible as

cruiser to soak in the summer fun. This 1968 Deville Convertible is
a rare find in this condition. The car remained in the a state of
constant care by its original owner from purchase date of February
28, 1968 until he finally parted with the car in 2011. As a result,
the car remains in excellent original condition with the exception
of one professional repaint in its original factory color; GM paint
code 20, Artic Blue. The Dark blue leather interior remains
original and is one of most posh interiors offered in its day and
since. The body is long and straight featuring signature stacked
headlights, classic rear tail fins, fender skirts, excellent
original wheel covers, and excellent chrome. The original interior
is fully optioned including: Power windows, power locks, power
seats, automatic climate control, factory stereo, power antenna,
cruise control, front "his and her" ash tray, rear left and right
ash trays with electric lighters (Power outlets in todays terms),
etc. All the windows work flawlessly and the huge convertible top
retracts and closes in seconds, not minutes. Underneath the hood
lies the original 472 V8 producing 375 horsepower and a towering
525 ftlbs of torque. This is hooked to its silky smooth TH400
automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. The engine area and
engine itself remains original and cosmetically unrestored.
The drivability of this Cadillac is to die for. The big V8 runs
excellent, smooth and powerful, the steering and suspension offer
the smoothest of smooth rides, and the low, muted luxurious exhaust
note produces a sound that is exclusive to large Cadillacs.
Notable recent services in 2011 include: Updated A/C to R134A and
replaced blower motor and all hoses, radio speakers, new ball
joints, new alternator and voltage regulator, transmission service
including: filter, pan gasket, shift seal and tail shaft seal. Most
recently this year: Re-cored radiator, new thermostat, new power
steering pump, belts and trunk seal.
