Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this pristine example of a
true American muscle car, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle. This
pavement-wrinkler recieved a comprehensive ground up restoration
that was completed in 2011. It has been thoroughly drenched in a
gorgeous Tuxedo Black base/clear coat paint job, offset by red
Super Sport stripes. All-new exterior chrome and trim provide
plenty of sparkle to go with its menacing black/red combo. Its
functional cowl induction hood lets you know this Chevelle means
business. Further enhancing its menacing look are a set of 20"
American Racing Torque II wheels, done in a black chrome finish,
and wrapped with new Nitto tires. Its power convertible top is
brand new and has a new matching tonneau cover. Inside, you'll find
factory bucket seating and console, all done in new red synthetic
leather. A period correct Hurst shifter snaps its Muncie M21
4-speed transmission through the gears. The tach and gauges are
clear and crisp, and to help keep them in view for any driver, its
tilt steering column is adjustable for gauge visibility and driver
comfort. To help keep its passengers where they're supposed to be,
it has new factory seat belts. A Retro Motor4 Long Beach
vintage-styled AM-FM stereo plays the tunes, and comes with
connectors for a SiriusXM SXV300 tuner. Powered by a Focal FDP
6.900 six channel amp, you'll easily drown out the muscle car's
glorious mechanical noises if you want to. The trunk is lined with
sound deadener matting, and really helps its subwoofer hammer out
the lows. The show quality engine compartment houses the period
correct LS5 454/360 HP engine, accessorized with lots of chrome
accents in the engine bay. Backed by its Muncie M21 4-speed
transmission, the LS5's power gets to the ground via its 12 bolt
rear, with housing positraction-enhanced 3.42:1 ring and pinion
set. Its F41 suspension with boxed control arms helps keep the rear
end planted and the front end pointed in the right direction.
Underneath, you'll see its gorgeous solid intact floors, frame and
trunk. A brand new full stainless dual exhaust with performance
mufflers provide that unmistakable rumbling big block sound.
