Now available in our Philly location is a 1957 Ford 300. In the May
20 feature, "Fifty, Finned and Fabulous," it was noted that in 1957
Ford took the sales title from Chevrolet for the first time. The
final tally, according to our trusty reference, the Standard
Catalog was 1,522,406 for Ford versus 1,515,177 for Chevrolet, a
difference of 7,359 units. The 1957 models retained a
single-headlight front end like their predecessors, but were
unmistakable with their long flanks and tailfins and these are
great tailfins. This Ford is a blend of new and old. Of course, the
1957 has the classic looks that we all love. This one also has a
modern Mustang motor and a C4 Automatic transmission in it as well.
Upgrades to the motor include an Edelbrock intake and carb. It also
has a B&M floor shifter with reverse lockout. Equipped with
both headers and glass packs this car has the classic Hot Rod
sound. The interior is done in a crushed red cloth and compliments
the black exterior. Classic Centerline Drag Star wheels add to the
Hot Rod Look. The car performs very well and sports some classic
pin striping for more of the Hot Rod Look. This Ford is an older
build and could benefit from some upgrades but be assured that
there is still allot left. To view this 1957 Ford 300 in greater
