Vehicle Description
The Ford Model T has been ranked as the automobile of the 20th
Century and with good reason. A simple but sturdy vehicle the Model
T made the motorcar affordable to middle class Americans and put
the nation on the road.
The Model T was manufactured by Ford from 1908 until 1927 which
means this 1925 Model T is near the end of a long run and
represents most of the improvements made to the model. As a very
improved version of the T this late model has an all steel
body.
Powered by a 177 cu. in 4 cylinder engine the Model T could boast
20 + horsepower.
The engine in this car was rebuilt using high compression pistons,
larger valves and a touring camshaft to provide improved
performance. The electrical system is now 12 volt with an
alternator.
This Model T also features a Rukstell axle that adds two speeds to
the cars gearing. It is apparently the only accessory ever approved
by Henry Ford and offered by the company.
A 2-door coupe version, this Model T is the famous basic black but
with sporty green wheels and the interior is grey wool with a green
pinstripe.
The Model T is a piece of American history and at the heart of the
car collector hobby.
