Vehicle Description
Depending upon the way you look at this 1955 Ford F-100 it's either
a hot rod, cool classic, or a great vintage cruiser. That's because
with a fuel-injected V8, upgraded suspension, custom A/C interior,
and four-speed overdrive transmission - all wrapped in a great
vintage body - this offers the best of everything.
Maybe it's the combination of fat fenders and an already
low-looking profile. Or perhaps it's that unique front end. Or
maybe the real wood truck bed. Whatever the reason, this F-100
looks fantastic from just about any angle. The Springtime Yellow
paint is borrowed from a later part of Ford's color palette, and
it's a big help with this standout appearance. But then there's
also the performance side. You see it in the darkened/fortified
appearance of the graphite elements in the grille, running boards,
tailgate, and 15-inch torque thrust style wheels. Plus, the shaved
front bumper, rolled rear pan, and lowered stance lets everyone
know this is one mean yellow machine.
The interior was restored with an eye for the right updates rather
than lose the vintage pickup atmosphere. That means a nicely
tailored buckskin vinyl bench seat, and this matches the headliner,
sun visors, and door panels. Plus, the exterior yellow coordinates
nicely as it returns on the dash and flows to the top of the doors.
You even get the comfort of modern R134a air conditioning
integrated nicely below the original dash. The performance upgrades
become more apparent as you slip behind the wood and chrome sports
steering wheel. Just beyond that are a full set of Dolphin gauges
that do a great job of looking retro cool thanks to their markings
and the chrome instrument panel. The tall floor shifter even has a
nice performance feeling.
When you tilt the hood forward, people are going to be on the
lookout for something special... and this one delivers. It's a
fuel-injected SOHC 4.6-liter V8 that was utilized by Ford for
everything from the F-150 to the Mustang GT. Its flexibility for
power and performance is exactly what you want in a classic custom
like this. After all, the four-speed automatic transmission was
built to kickdown into the powerband at a moment's notice, and then
return to easy overdrive cruising whenever you hit the highway.
Plus, you have Mustang II style independent front suspension for a
superior ride, and power steering and four-wheel disc brakes give
you the ultimate in control.
This custom build perfectly combines classic looks, modern
conveniences, and rumbling V8 power. This fine Ford is ready to
cruise this weekend, and at this price, we bet it will be. So don't
wait...call today!!!
