Please contact us for more information. Los Angeles Broadcasting Pioneer Art Astor was a man known for many things. A dedicated businessman, loving father and grandfather and first rate soldier, Art was also known for his incredible devotion to the automobile. Russo and Steele is proud to present in Monterey, California the last remaining automobiles in Art Astor's legendary collection. The Devotion Collection features the cars truly closest to Art's heart. These fourteen remaining offerings are vehicles that Art felt so passionately about that he kept them the closest to him, through the end of his life and include prime examples of Pre and Post War American Classics, American Luxury Cars and European Sports Cars. The Packard One-Ten (also One Ten and 110) was a range of six-cylinder automobiles produced by the Packard Motor Car Company during the 1940 and 1941 model years. The One-Ten model designation replaced the Packard Six model name. Packard reintroduced a line of six-cylinder cars in 1937 after a ten-year absence as a response to the economic depression and ongoing recovery cycle in the United States. As an independent automaker, Packard could not look to other internal divisions to support its base of luxury models, so the inclusion of the Six, and the later 110 models, was necessary to aid in supporting the firm's bottom line until better times returned. This is one of 500 Packard 110's produced in 1941. It had a list price, depending on the model, of $1104-$1375. This example is presented with striking two-tone gray paint, sparkling brightwork and white wall tires. The dash plastic is exceptional and the fabric seating is in good order. A strong example of the Packard 110 that many feel saved the day for Packard. Recently serviced it is ready for the open road and miles of enjoyable touring.
