more information. The Ferrari 328 GTB and GTS was the successor to
the Ferrari 308 GTB and GTS. While mechanically still based on the
308 GTB and GTS respectively, small modifications were made to the
body style and engine. Most notably an increase in engine
displacement to 3.2 L for increased power and torque output. The
328 is considered by many Ferrari enthusiasts to be one of the most
reliable Ferraris. Unlike some models, most engine maintenance can
be performed without lowering the engine from the vehicle. The GTB
referred to the Gran Turismo Berlinetta (coupe) while the GTS was a
Gran Turismo Spider (targa top). The 328 figures in the model title
referred to the total cubic capacity of the engine, 3.2 litres, and
8 for the number of cylinders. The Ferrari 328 presented a
softening of the wedge profile of its predecessor, with a
redesigned nose that had a more rounded shape, which was
complemented by similar treatment to the tail valance panel. The
interior trim also had a thorough overhaul, with new designs for
the seat panel upholstery and stitching, revised door panels and
pulls, together with more modern switchgear, which complemented the
external updated details. This Ferrari 328 is in totally original
condition and the paint and interior leather have been maintained
in exceptional condition. It is offered with a 2015 Maranello
"Certificazione di Originalita'" (Certification of Originality")
signed by Piero Ferrari for all mechanical body and interior parts.
This Ferrari has a complete record of ownership and service work
including copies of titles and receipts. The last major service
including belts and hoses was done in 2010 at 40,535 miles and
additional services have been done according to the car records.
This Ferrari 328 GTS is presented with original owner manuals and
related documents in the original pouch, original tools and jack
bags, service and part manuals, Ferrari Certification of
Originality, and two keys. This car was winner of Platinum, Best of
Show or Best in Class at every Concours d'Elegance entered and is
now eligible to participate in National Ferrari Shows in the
category of Preservation. It is now showing only 47,265 miles and
is finished in Blu Chiaro and Scuro. A wonderful properly
maintained example of a very desirable Ferrari.
