had several 1979 - WS6 - 400 4spd Trans AM's through the shop and
this is one of the nicest. Beautiful Mayan Red finish with a Deluxe
Black Cloth Interior. The all important W72 PWH Pontiac TA\6.6 is
rumbling under that shaker. This is the last of the 400's Pontiac
would produce and also the first year for the WS6 handling packing
including 4 wheel disc brakes. These are considered by many to be
the last true muscle car that was Pontiac Powered. The Blocks were
a special casting with a higher nickel content similar to the
Blocks of the early 70's. The 220hp 400 could trip the quarter mile
in 14.61 @ just under 100mph. These were true performance cars that
were not only fast for the day, but had excellent handling. Only
