1957-1959 and was only the second car in history to be series
produced with a retractable hardtop. At the time of its
introduction, the Skyliner was the only true hardtop convertible in
the world and is thought to by most as such. The Skyliner has one
of the most popular and stylish looks car enthusiast love from the
50's. With its big boat like body with stylish rear end fins with
big saucer like taillights and turn signals molded right into the
fins. We can forget the front-end design as well with its big
chrome bumper and hints from it cousin the T-bird. This one has
been painted in a Red and Off-white color that looks perfect and
perfect with the cars attractive look. Under the hood of this time
piece is a Ford 312 CID V8, this engine is rated at 245 Hp and is
also the only year the 312 CID was an option for the Skyliner in
1957. It has been linked up to a smooth shifting three speed
Ford-O-Matic Automatic with 3.25 gears, making this retractable a
pleasure to cruise in. This beautiful retractable hardtop car is
begging to be enjoyed. It has recently in the last year been gone
through with the engine and trans being rebuilt, power steering,
front end and breaks and new bushing as well. The top is also in
working order and the interior in this one looks as good as the day
