1968 Ford Mustang restored with all the good stuff!! This 68 coupe has gone under a full restoration about a year ago. The car was completely gone through and updated with Disc brakes, Vintage AC, Borgeson Power steering along with a strong running 351w and manual 4 speed trans.
The car exterior paint and body work look very nice with it's super bright red base coat clear paint. The silver stripes are Vinyl wrap material used on high end cars and can be removed with a heat gun if the buyer choices to, but I feel they look pretty awesome. The floors pan was replaced with proper sheet metal and seemed in nicely along with some lower quarter panel patches as well. All the work looks nice and presents really good, it will hold it's own in any local show or car meetup. The bright work is mostly new and shines as should. With the bright red paint, silver stripes and Magnum 500 wheels it's a real eye catcher and receives more thumbs up then a high end sports car.
The black interior has been restored with recovered seats, dash pad, door panels, etc. The car has a pretty nice stereo system with speakers in rear deck and custom front kick panels. All the gauges and lighting work properly along with wipers and horn. The electrical has been gone through front to rear and blinkers and lights work properly.
The drivetrain is super strong with a rebuilt 351windsor that has upgraded camshaft, Gt-40 ford racing heads, aluminum intake with a Holley 4 barrel double pumper. All the hoses and belts have been replaced along with an upgraded aluminum 4 core radiator and heater core. The engine is dressed nice with just the right amount chrome and ford racing valve covers. The engine is backed by a rebuilt toploader 4 speed that shifts nice with it's close ratio hurst shifter. The rear has been upgraded to 3:50 gears and helps this pony move out.
The car was an originally equipped with air conditioning but has been updated to a new style Vintage AC system which uses a Sandon compressor and converts the original control to electronic.
The brake system has been gone through and updated to Kelsey Hayes 4 piston caliper disc brakes in front. The car was an original power steering car but has been updated to a close ratio Borgeson steering box that removes all the old ram and control valve assembly. This setup is way better then the old junk and removes the steering slack.
