This 1989 Chevy Suburban 2500 is a really nice and really clean
truck that spent its life in Texas and than the last couple of
years in Kansas. The last owner spent a lot of time and money doing
a LS Swap on this Burb. This gives these trucks such a smooth power
band and are great to drive. This looks like a very nice install
and ity runs and drives great. The body on this Suburban is clean
and straight. It was repainted in its original color of Garnet Red
Metallic and the paint looks great! All of the chrome and trim
looks really nice. The underside of this truck is really clean and
we found no rust issues with this rig.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The seats appear to be
original and are in excellent condition. It has new carpet and a
new headliner that were installed within the last couple of years.
The dash, dash bezel, and door panels are original and in great
condition. The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn
signals are all working. The gauges all work. The horn and
windshield wipers work. The heat and AC also work. This truck has
power windows and power locks. The power windows work good but the
power locks are sticky so they do not lock and unlock
consistently.
Mechanically this truck is great!! It runs and drives wonderful.
The engine is a 5.3L LS out of a 2005 Silverado that had just under
100,000 miles on it when it was installed in the last 2 years. It
has a mild cam, it has been tuned, long tube stainless headers, and
dual flowmaster exhaust that sounds great. They added an Aluminum
Radiator with dual electric fans to keep the engine cool. The
engine runs strong and smooth with no issues or red flags that we
found. It has the 4L80E Automatic Transmission that shifts nice and
it is mated to the np208 transfer case. The 4WD works like it
should. The last owner stated the transmission was rebuilt when
they did the swap but we did not receive the receipts. It has a 10
Bolt rear axle with 3.73 gears and a factory limited slip. The
front axle is also a 10 Bolt with 3.73 gears. They added a 2 Inch
lift and aluminum wheels with 33 Inch All Terrain tires. This is a
great looking squarebody!!
