This Mark III is a fine example that has had most all of the necessary things done to it already. Runs and drives beautifully as it was designed to! The things that have been done in the past few years are:
New Holley carb (600 CFM), rebuilt original transmission (C6), Pertronix ignition, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, recent oil and filters, Battery, A/C converted to R134 and working properly, New Master cylinder, New power steering pump and hoses, new tires(about 1000 miles on them), new foam on drivers seat, (the others didn't need), new paint in the original color but done in 2-stage paint. I didn't put the pin stripes on because I prefer the look without.
The car was owned as part of a collection that belonged to a retired drag racer. His wife sold his collection and I bought it from a guy who bought it from her. In the paper work from the time of his ownership shows a total rebuild of the engine in the late nineties. No idea why it would have needed a rebuild at that point but there is no additional info. It does run strong and smooth.
I also have a nice framed Marti Report that is in storage so isn't included in the photos. The Marti report is included in the photos here that provides all the information on this fine example.
Listed below are the things that aren't currently working. All else works as it should.
Rear Windows,(didn't feel like dealing with them)
Radio.(actually the radio powers on but no sound so possibly just needs speakers. If I kept it, I would send the original radio out to have modern guts installed.)(Power Antenna works perfectly)
Clock.
