Vehicle Description
This car was purchased at R.E. Vinton+Sons Chevrolet of Blair, NE. The women that bought it was from Omaha. The warranty document and dealer insignia match.
When she passed, her brother inherited the car. He had no interest, so he put it up for sale. A friend from Central Iowa bought it and drove it down I-80 at 75 mph!
This car is very original. It has been repainted, but the body is perfect. The chrome, stainless and glass are original and super nice. Other than new radial tires, this car is identical to the way she purchased it.
It has the 235 stovebolt six engine, Powerglide transmission, power steering and brakes, windshield, push AM radio, spinner hubcaps, rear mounted antenna and remote oil filter.
The trim tag tells us that the paint code 986E, Anniversary Gold over Honey Beige (off-white), and the Trim code is 847, tri-tone of beige, copper and gold. The white may be a shade white, but everything matches. This color scheme was to recognize Chevrolet’s 50th Anniversary.
After thorough inspection, I can assure you this car has never been rusty. It even looks spectacular underneath. It is straight and solid through the body.
The interior is very nice and completely original. The doors shut with a click and all features work properly. It even has four T-3 light bulbs! There is a spare and jack within the trunk. A 1958 Nebraska plate adorns the rear bumper.
This is a fantastic Impala 2 door hardtop. It is very original in appearance and performance. I doubt there is another in such great original condition. Life near Omaha was good to this car!
