Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1979 Trans Am which is in fantastic restored condition with low actual miles of 56,701. This Trans Am features a beautiful repaint in factory Platinum Silver with new decals, a beautiful black deluxe cloth interior, a host of factory options including the sought after WS6 package, a plethora of original documentation, and the original numbers matching 403 engine, see vin stamp photo. This Trans Am has no visible rust and is very solid with great lines and gaps. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Platinum Silver (code 15)over Black (code 19B) deluxe cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and build sheet pictured below.
Exterior
The Platinum Silver exterior is in beautiful restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint in factory Platinum Silver with all new decals and still shows very well and fresh. The paint is in great condition with no signs of visible rust and both bumpers are in excellent shape with no flaking or faded paint. 10th anniversary Trans Am accents were added during the repaint including the pin stripping, Charcoal accents on the front and rear bumpers and also on the shaker, the result is a tasteful one of a kind stunning appearance. The decals are in excellent shape. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires have very good tread left and are sized 225/70/15 and the 8? snowflake wheels are OEM originals and are in excellent shape with no curb rash. All weather stripping and window sweeps are newer and in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, inflator bottle, jack, with the original trunk mat.
Interior
The Black deluxe cloth interior of this Trans Am has been restored to stock. The front seat covers have been replaced and are like new with no noticeable wear. The carpet is like new as well with no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in excellent condition as well. The original AM/FM CB stereo is still in this TA and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. A modern stereo was recently installed in the map pocket area which sounds amazing and can easily be removed for a stock look. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray have also been replaced and both are in like new condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. This TA is loaded with factory options that all work, including the horn, stereo, wipers, power windows, power door locks, remote trunk release, blower motor on all speeds, and rear defrost all work. Currently the power antenna is stuck in the up position. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Trans Am is in excellent mechanical condition with only 56,701 actual miles on the original 403 engine. We have driven this TA numerous times on the streets and highways and it always performs very well, does not run hot, rides very tight, and is a true joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs very well. This Trans Am is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs excellent. The 4 wheel disk brakes do not pull and stop as they should. True dual Pypes exhaust was recently added and gives this TA and nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car and all factory components are still in the car and the AC works properly and blows cold. This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by its previous owners and several wear items have been replaced. The outstanding way this TA looks and drives is a true testament to prior owners care and love for this special TA.
